Music Elective Programme

Eunoia MEP students engage in the academic study of music and are nurtured to be scholars, practitioners, advocates and leaders in the arts.

“Imagine an adventure where the ticket for your flight is a love for music.

Imagine that, on this adventure, you’re able to broaden your worldview while strengthening your sense of home; sharpen your analytical skills while honing your sensitivity and empathy and deepen your appreciation of the beauty around you while developing your own personal voice.

Now imagine doing those wonderful things with the support of an incredible community of like-minded musicians with immense passion and potential.

Eunoia MEP is far more than a subject or programme. It’s an experience that brings out the best in you, a family that you'll grow to love, and a journey of a lifetime. Join us, just as we each did, and you'll learn why we’ve never looked back ever since!”

“Eunoia MEP has stretched me as a musician in ways I could never have imagined before. A subject I have always been passionate about, I saw myself constantly striving to scale greater heights after each consultation.

I found a genuine interest in the content taught and spontaneously spent many hours studying it. The programme is rigorous and requires heart and dedication, but has helped me become a more well-rounded musician, developing skills in composition, performing, analysing and research at both H2 and H3 levels.

MEP has helped me discover my voice as a musician and given me many platforms to ultimately realise the full extent of my capabilities. It has undoubtedly been the greatest highlight of my Eunoia experience.”

Anne Thong, EJC Class of 2020

“MEP gave me opportunity and space to delve deeper into various aspects of music - from performance, composition, analysis of Western art music, to Asian music. In particular, it gave me a safe space to explore my passion in music composition, allowing me to further my composition techniques and conceptualise pieces, to materialise the sounds and ideas in my head.

Composing music has set me on a path of self-discovery, of figuring out who I am, what I would like to do and what I can offer to this world. I’m grateful to have had loving and patient teachers, who constantly went out of their way and made extra time to teach me, encouraging me in my musical endeavours, and believing in me and my pursuit of music. Beyond that, MEP has also given me a sense of belonging and the chance to meet very unique individuals, brought together by the love for music. Some of us still continue to make music together or meet up with one another to recall the good old days in the MEP studios, and we often come back to visit our teachers too.”
